Personal trainers help a lot of people. They help keep track of your progress, prescribe exercise routines to maximize your results, and can be a great source of motivation. However, human personal trainers are expensive. They’re also difficult to find. Plus, you need a gym to interact with them most of the time. Why not try something digital instead? Here are the best personal trainer apps for Android!
Price: Free / $19.99 per month / $60.00 per year
8fit is one of the better all-around personal trainer apps. It combines a lot of things into a single experience, including exercise regimens, dietary suggestions, various workout schedules, and a lot more. The app contains about 400 healthy recipe ideas along with 350 exercise tutorials. Additionally, it creates workout and food goals for your fitness level and needs. The only downside is the surprisingly expensive monthly premiums. If you do go for the premium route, we recommend a year up front. It’s literally a quarter of the price.
Price: Free / $6.99 per month / $47.88 per year
BestFit probably isn’t the best of the personal trainer apps, but it’s still pretty decent. The app designs your entire workout plan from a few pieces of information from you. It focuses on efficient gym training and motivates you with a variety of challenges to push yourself. You get the first three workouts for free. You can choose the premium or free version from there.
Price: Free / $9.99 per month / $59.99 per year
Bodbot might be one of the most accurate representations of a personal trainer. You open the app, tell is about yourself, and the AI schedules an entire workout regimen for you. The app comes complete with support for Google Fit along with Fitbit and it’ll even set reminders for you. It also tunes and tweaks your sessions so you don’t hurt yourself or burn out too quickly. Strangely, despite the number of features, the app never feels too complicated. Like most, its monthly prices feel too expensive while its yearly prices are a little better.
Price: Free / $4.99 per 3 months / $7.99 per year / $9.99 once
Fitness22 is another decent personal trainer app. However, it presents itself as a normal workout app. There are a bunch of exercises and workouts for various purposes. For instance, you can go for fat loss or muscle building. You’re also responsible for creating your own workout regimens. That’s a good thing if you like to manage these sorts of things yourself. There’s a bit of a learning curve for beginners, though. The app is also way cheaper than most of its competitors.
Price: Free / $4.99
FitNotes is an excellent fitness app. It works best for those who like to keep track of their own fitness. It works basically like a gym log. You input your activity, reps, weight, etc and track it over time. You then change your workouts when needed to adjust. The app includes a workout database for quick reference, the ability to build exercise routines, and even a backup and restore function. The premium version is a single $4.99 purchase but the free version works well too. It’s one of the best DIY personal trainer apps.
