Google is doing something different with the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL. Well, not totally different, but both of the new Google phones represent a step forward for the company.

Sure, they both feature all the upgrades we expected — like an improved design, better displays, and new camera features — but unlike the Pixel 3 line, the Pixel 4 and 4 XL have a few really unique features that make it stand out from other phones. The Pixel 4 seems like a notable step up from the Pixel 3 in many ways, mainly due to its improved hardware.

Motion Sense seems like a genuinely useful feature that will only get better in time. The tech behind the feature is interesting, too, and it seems to be a hell of a lot more responsive than LG’s weird Hand ID with the G8.
