Huawei first introduced EMUI 10.1 alongside the P40 series in March this year. The update has since arrived on several models in China, but the firm has now announced a release timetable for devices outside China.
According to an official email sent to Android Authority, Huawei will kick off the EMUI 10.1 rollout from June. The list of devices appears below.
Huawei’s Honor sub-brand will also be pushing out the Magic UI 3.1 update from June, which shares plenty in common with EMUI 10.1. The supported Honor phones are listed below.
EMUI 10.1 introduces a number of additions, with the two headline features being MeeTime video calling and the Celia voice assistant. The former offers 1080p video calls with screen sharing and enhancements for poor signal quality, while the latter is Huawei’s take on a virtual assistant. Celia will first land in the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Mexico, Chile, Columbia and South Africa.
Other noteworthy additions or tweaks include a cross-device photo gallery, improved PC/smartphone integration, more fingerprint unlock animations, and tweaked multi-window functionality. The latter is pretty interesting, being activated by swiping inwards from the edges with two fingers, and allowing you to drag and drop content between two windows.
