If you hate the default Google Assistant voice, you’ll be happy to hear that you can change it with just a few taps. You can choose from a number of male and female ones or even opt for the voice of a celebrity like John Legend or Issa Rae. The easiest way to change Assistant’s voice is to first launch Google Assistant on your phone and then tap the compass icon in the bottom-right corner, which will take you to the Explore page. From there, tap your profile image up top and select “Settings.”
The next step is to switch to the “Assistant” tab and then select the “Assistant voice” option. Tap on any of the colored circles to preview an Assistant voice and then close the page when you decide on which one to go with — your choice will be saved automatically.
