Huawei P30 and P30 Pro update hub (Update - Android 10 incoming!) - Android

Update: November 13, 2019 (2:45 PM ET): According to a few Redditors, Android 10 has come to Chinese variants of the Huawei P30 Pro in the latest EMUI 10 update. Unfortunately, there’s bad news for some users.

The OTA update comes in at a whopping 4.99GB, and one Redditor even reported in the comments that it left them without the ability to use the Google Play Store. This isn’t too big of a surprise, given the current Huawei trade ban. We don’t know how many users will encounter this issue, but we expect it will be isolated to Chinese variants of Huawei’s devices.

It’s not clear when exactly the Android 10 update will come to the other P30 and P30 Pro variants. We expect it won’t be too long now.

• When will the rest of the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro devices get Android 10? December 2019 – January 2020 (estimated)

The Huawei P30 and 30 Pro launched with Android 9. Like most Android flagships, these are expected to receive two major updates in the future.

Android 10 is rolling out to Chinese variants of the Huawei P30 Pro right now. Based on Huawei’s recent updates, the rest of the phones should receive the update within the next couple of months. We’ll let you know when we learn more about that.
