T-Mobile LG Velvet coming soon, but not with the Snapdragon 765G - Android

The 5G-powered smartphone won't break the bank, either, landing at under $600.

Today, the Uncarrier announced that there will soon be a T-Mobile LG Velvet in stores. The 5G-powered mid-range smartphone will cost under $600 in total.

Starting September 10, you can grab the T-Mobile LG Velvet for $24.50-per-month for 24 months with zero money down (for qualifying subscribers). You can knock that price down even further by trading in an eligible device for up to $300, equalling over half-off the total of $588. If you don’t have a trade-in, you can add a new line to your account instead which will also knock half-off.

The unlocked LG Velvet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset. However, the T-Mobile variant will curiously be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1000C. This is likely a big reason why the T-Mobile LG Velvet will be cheaper than other variants. All other specs appear to be the same, though.
