Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 deal on Amazon

If you’re on the lookout for a smartwatch living a double-life as a fitness tracker, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Active 2 is currently available for $50 off on Amazon and Best Buy. The discount is available for the 40mm and 44mm sizes in Aqua Black. The $50 discount brings the 40mm and 44mm sizes down to $229.99 and $249.99, respectively.

Available since September, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is the latest entry in Samsung’s smartwatch line. The design doesn’t stray too far from the original Galaxy Watch Active, though the touch-sensitive bezel makes it easy to navigate the software. Predictably, the 44mm version features a larger display and battery relative to the 40mm version.

The latest in Samsung's line of smartwatches, the Galaxy Watch Active 2 features a circular display with a touch bezel. It also tracks your activities, such as cycling, running, swimming, and more. It even features Samsung Pay, which you can use with regular and NFC-enabled card readers.

It’s an excellent smartwatch, though it wouldn’t be our first pick for a fitness tracker. In his review, our own Jimmy Westenberg noted sluggish heart rate readings, inaccurate results from the altimeter, and inaccurate GPS results. This isn’t to say the Galaxy Watch Active 2 is an awful fitness tracker, but keep your expectations in check.
