There’s a new version of the Moto 360 smartwatch, but it’s not from Motorola - Android

Canadian company eBuyNow is behind the smartwach line's resurrection.

Back in 2016, Motorola killed its Moto 360 smartwatch line. The company only released three variants over two years before throwing in the towel. Now, Moto 360 fans can rejoice because the line is back! This time, however, Motorola isn’t making it.

According to The Verge, Canadian company eBuyNow is developing the third-generation Moto 360 Wear OS device. As of right now, we don’t know much about the company or its relationship with Motorola. What we do know is that it must have the legal licensing to relaunch a smartwatch line it didn’t initially develop.

Based on pictures and specs, the new Moto 360 looks promising. It features a 1.2-inch 360 x 360 circular display and two physical buttons. The top button rotates for easy UI navigation, and the bottom button can launch any app of your choice.

According to the Moto 360 website, the device will come in three colorways — steel grey, rose gold, and phantom black — and each will come with two watch straps — a rubber one and a leather one. It also looks like it will come with a proprietary charging cradle.

The device will rock the Snapdragon Wear 3100 SoC, a quick charge 355mAh battery, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of internal storage. It also supports Bluetooth 4.2, it’s splash resistant, and it weighs just 52g.

The new Moto 360 will be available for pre-order November 12. It will retail for $350, making it one of the most expensive Wear OS devices on the market.
