Trump gathers execs from Google, Apple, Qualcomm, and more to revive economy - Android

President Trump just selected 200 experts from various US companies to join the initiative.

The Trump administration just announced a new initiative to form what’s called the Great American Economic Revival Groups. These groups consist of 200 experts from various industries that will help “produce a more independent, self-sufficient, and resilient Nation” going forward.

Among others, the elected experts include executives, economists, and scholars from American banking, energy, financial service, healthcare, technology, telecommunications, and transportation industries.

Notably, Trump has called upon the tech CEOs from AMD, Apple, Facebook, Google, Intel, Microsoft, Qualcomm, and more to join the groups. Experts from the telecommunications industry include executives from Verizon, T-Mobile, and Comcast.

AT&T and Sprint didn’t make the cut, though Sprint’s omission makes sense, given the recent T-Mobile merger.

The Great American Economic Revival Groups’ announcement comes as countries from around the globe are suffering from the economic effects of the coronavirus pandemic. However, there is no indication this initiative is a response to the outbreak.

Regardless of the country’s socio-economic situation, hopefully, the collaboration of some of the nation’s brightest minds from its most successful companies should lead to future economic growth in America.
