We asked, you told us - The OnePlus 8 Pro outshines the Galaxy S20 Plus - Android

OnePlus has been creeping up its prices every year since the OnePlus One. This year was the same case, but no one expected the company to do what it did: create a true rival to the Samsung Galaxy S20. A real IP rating, a solid camera system, and damn-good software are just a few headline features of the OnePlus 8 Pro. Coincidentally, the Galaxy S20 Plus shares those same features, as well as many other similar specs. They’re even the same price (with discounts)!

Last week, we asked you to choose one: OnePlus 8 Pro or Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus. We have a lot of OnePlus fans that read Android Authority so we were fully expecting the OnePlus 8 Pro to win this one, but the results actually paint a more interesting picture than we originally thought.

Pick one: OnePlus 8 Pro or Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus?

Results

Out of over 10,000 total votes across the website and Twitter, a large majority (47.6%) of Android Authority readers chose the OnePlus 8 Pro over the Galaxy S20 Plus. Just 32.75% of readers chose the Galaxy S20 Plus over the OnePlus, while 19.64% of voters said they don’t like either phone. Well then.

Interestingly, voters on the website were much more willing to choose the OnePlus 8 Pro over the S20 Plus — those results showed the OnePlus going away with 55.28% of the votes compared to the S20 Plus’ 34.54%. Twitter voters were more torn. There, the OnePlus 8 Pro “only” got 44.8% of the votes compared to the S20 Plus’ 32.1%.

Still, the results are clear. Most of you prefer the OnePlus 8 Pro over the Galaxy S20 Plus.
