With just over a week away until Christmas arrives, you may still have some last-minute shopping to do for your holiday gift-giving list. Thankfully, there are some great streaming deals to choose from right now. There are price cuts on streaming sticks and set-top boxes for TVs. You can also give subscriptions to popular streaming services, including Disney Plus.

Streaming deals – Amazon Fire TV

The Amazon Fire TV 4K Stick is currently on sale for just $34.99, compared to its normal $49.99 price tag. Just connect the stick to an HDMI port on your TV, and then connect it to your local Wi-Fi network. You can then access tons of streaming TV shows and movies, many of which are available for free. If your TV supports it, video can be streamed at up to 4K resolution. The Fire TV Stick 4K also has an Alexa voice remote, so you can use voice commands to quickly find your favorite films or TV series.

In addition, the Amazon Fire TV Cube is currently priced at $89.99, down from its normal cost of $119.99. The Fire TV Cube is basically a smart speaker that doubles as a Fire TV smart device. You can ask it to check the weather, give you a news update, or control your smart home devices, even if your TV is turned off.

Streaming deals – Roku

The Roku OS is perhaps the most popular smart TV operating system in the world. Thankfully, there are some streaming deals on many of their set-top boxes. The Roku Ultra is currently priced at $69, compared to its usual $99.99 price. It streams content at up to 4K resolution. The Roku Ultra also can access tons of streaming services, many of which are free. It even has an Ethernet port for people who want to physically connect the box to their network router. It also has a voice remote and comes with a pair of JBL headphones.

The Roku Express and Roku Premiere set-top boxes are also on sale. The Roku Express, which streamed content at up to 1080p resolution, is on sale for $24, compared to its normal $29.99 price. However, the Roku Premiere, which boosts the resolution up to 4K, is on sale for $29, compared to its usual $39.99 price tag.

Gift subscriptions to streaming services

The streaming deals and gifts don’t have to end when you buy a set-top box or stick. You can also give your family member or friend a gift subscription to a premium streaming service. There’s no hotter service right now than Disney Plus.  It’s the home to The Mandalorian, which introduced the world to “Baby Yoda”.

However, there are lots of other great TV shows and movies to stream on the service. There’s classic family movies, nearly all the Pixar films, a majority of the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, and of course most of the Star Wars movies. You should also consider Amazon Prime Video, one of the many Amazon Prime perks. If you are an Amazon Prime member already, you can gift a three-month subscription to someone else for $39 or a 12-month subscription for $119.

CBS All Access lets you stream classic and current TV shows from the CBS network. It also has some great exclusive shows like the first two seasons of Star Trek: Discovery. You can watch all of the classic Trek series, including Star Trek: The Next Generation, on the service. That should get you ready for its next exclusive show, Star Trek: Picard, when it debuts in late January 2020.
