The gorgeous live Super Wallpapers found in Xiaomi’s MIUI 12 interface have finally been ported to other devices, meaning Android owners can get them on their phone or tablet without too much trouble.

The port was performed by XDA-Developers Recognized Contributor linuxct, so the APK files should be safe and reliable to run on most devices. With that said, only Android devices running version 8.1 or newer can download and install the live wallpapers. Unfortunately, older models that can’t run at least Android Oreo will be left out of the fun.

In order to get the wallpapers, users will need to simply download and install these APK files to their device. Once the APKs are installed successfully, the Super Earth and Super Mars wallpapers should appear in the stock wallpaper area of Settings. If the MIUI 12 Super Wallpapers fail to show up there after downloading and installing the correct APK files, users may need to download the Google Wallpaper app from the Play Store.

I tested the live Super Wallpapers on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e and I did need to download the Google Wallpaper app and then scroll to Live Wallpapers in order to get it working on my device. Once I did, the Super Earth wallpaper worked perfectly and it’s just as gorgeous as ever.

Before the port was released, the wallpapers were only available on Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco devices.
