Xiaomi first launched its Mi 10T series last month, bringing high refresh rate LCD screens, 5G, and high resolution main cameras to the table. We already knew that the firm planned to bring the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro to India, and it’s now done exactly that.
The two devices share a number of features, such as a 6.67-inch 144Hz LCD screen, Snapdragon 865 processor, 8K recording, and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging. The two also a 13MP ultra-wide rear camera (123 degree field of view), 5MP macro camera, and 20MP selfie camera in a punch-hole.
However, the chief difference between the two phones is that the Mi 10T Pro packs a 108MP main camera while the Mi 10T delivers a 64MP main shooter.
Other noteworthy shared features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, 5G connectivity, 3D audio recording, and half a dozen automatic long exposure modes (such as star trails, astrophotography, moving crowds).
The standard Mi 10T will retail for Rs 35,999 (~$491) for the 6GB/128GB option, while the 8GB/128GB variant will go on sale for Rs 37,999 (~$518). Want that 108MP camera though? Then expect to pay Rs 39,999 (~$545) for the 8GB/128GB Mi 10T Pro.
The two phones can be pre-ordered via Mi.com, Mi Home Stores, participating retailers, and Flipkart from 11:59PM IST today (October 15).
This price means that it’s cheaper than the OnePlus 8T in India, although you’re getting an OLED screen with the OnePlus device. Still, between the flagship power, 8K recording, big batteries, and high resolution cameras, it seems like the Xiaomi phones deliver a lot of bang for your buck.
Xiaomi also launched the Mi True Wireless Earphones 2C for Rs 2,499 (~$34), packing five hours of playtime on a single charge and up to 20 hours with the charging case.
