The second Android 11 Developer Preview arrived mid-March, and we’re already getting a maintenance release with a handful of bug fixes and performance improvements. Call it Android 11 Developer Preview 2.1.
There aren’t too many changes this time around, and certainly no user-facing tweaks. The full changelog can be found below:
Like the previous build, Android 11 Developer Preview 2.1 can be installed on Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, and Pixel 4 devices. To install this new Android 11 build on your Pixel, you can use the Android Flash Tool or sideload the OTA files or factory images.
The second Android 11 Developer Preview added quite a few notable additions to the operating system, including an improved screen recorder, the ability to mute notifications during video, a useful notification history page, and more. You can read more about all of the new features here.
